Maybe they would forbid laughter
I thought they already did that! LOL LOL LOL
recently there was a thread about the evils of "social networking" for witnesses.
facebook, my space and other similar sites are "worldly" and to be avoided.. before you know, nearly everything will be considered unacceptable for a christian witness of jehovah.
let's have fun and go to extremes...what else will be a no-no?.

I would definitly see uniforms, made and sold by headquarters. Purple triangles on the shoulders, little tract pockets on the inside lapel.
It's brilliant really!
you know, just in case you get your feelers hurt on the web.

anyone else prefer black?
if you don't you are a racist..
Outlaw you make me laugh.
Wouldn't it be funny if we were neighbors and didn't know it? You do remind me of someone I know.

P.s I'm not a racist I don't see color at all
so we had our circuit assembly this past weekend, and it was the first one in my life that i told my wife i would not be attending.
we had a brief conversation on why, and she said well just go to this last one with me, and then when we can discuss what we learn and compare it to why you've been expressing your "new" feelings towards the wts.. i love my wife, and as much as i thought i was gonna hate it i decided to go.
now that i no longer want to be a jehovah's witness it really didnt bother me that nobody hardly talked to me despite me living in this same area for 4 1/2 years, everybody views me as spiritually weak because i dont go out in service, rarely attend meetings, dont comment, lesson is never underlined, so the "friends" never interact with me anyway and i'm use to it, actually that's the way i prefer it.
I was just looking at some of the profiles of some witnesses on my facebook page. They are friends with people that they would normally not be allowed to have coffee with. Co-workers are wishing them happy birthday, one person gets a horoscope update daily, one is spending way too much time playing a ninja game, and most have pictures of themselves on there in various states of drunkeness and revelry.LOL !
It's Bad,Bad Bad association
I'm as lost as you are.
was at the kingdumb hell yesterday after a gap.. paragraph 11 planted the seed in the sheeples' heads for this.. remember last weeks study, where martha was quoted as saying: "i know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.
" (jo 11: 24) the term "last day" was explained as applying to the millennium, in the same way as "judgment day" for those receiving an earthly resurrection.. now for paragraph 11 - i noticed some bemused faces, as usually john 6 is avoided in articles discussing earthly resurrection:.
" "the bread that i shall give is my flesh," he said.
BIG problem here though - Since they claim the apostles taught two hopes, why is there nothing in the NT saying only those with the "heavenly calling" should partake?"
Well thats a different point of view. I had not considered flipping it that way.
remember some of the garbage served at the district conventions?.
i was at the dollar store today and noticed they started carrying "shasta" cola.. i started laughing because they used to serve that skunk water at the district conventions when i was a kid.. they always brought in the cheapest, nastiest soda they could buy.. one year we had something called vess cola - that was actually worse than the shasta!
then, they ran out on sunday and had to buy pepsi from the local distributor - we were all rejoicing!!.
Why was everything always frozen? Did no one think to take it out of the freezer a little earlier? especially pudding and orange juice?

Speaking of fond memories, remember seeing people run for the line-up at lunch time? Some zealous witlesses would leave before the song would end, just to be the first in line.
Does that ever make me laugh. My dad would practically camp out if front of the cafeteria doors at the convention hall. We always ate first. We were always embarrassed of him but we had lots of time to "walk around " and around and around! LOL

hey!.
i went to my first meeting last week and, well, i guess i want to write some thoughts about how a meeting is for an 'outsider' :-) .
Your observations were much like my husbands the first time he went to Sunday meeting. He also felt that they were overly critical of other religions though and he found that very offensive. In a "We're better than them" sort of way.
I haven't been reading your past posts, so I don't know why you went to the meeting but I am curious if you will be going to more.
Eh?
